Bras!

Soo..divas, tell me...how many of you are wearing the right bra size? After a lengthy and detailed conversation with some girlfriends I was a little concerned at how much or should I say how little we know about undergarments as well as how little time we spend in this department. If we want to look great on the outside we need to make sure that what we are wearing underneath compliments our ensemble. I mean no lumpiness in the bosom area, not too much cleavage, no panty lines or bright colors showing through...uh huh I know you're all nodding because you can all totally identify right? Anyway...back to the issue at hand, ask yourself when last your bra size was measured...yes, your size will change especially if your weight fluctuates! I recently had a memorable experience at Victoria's Secret. When you walk in and they offer to measure your bra size...please accept! They will proceed by writing your name down on a little card and what size they think you are based on your measurements, if you request a certain bra they will indicate it on the same card. You then go to the fitting rooms where someone else will assist you by giving you a drawer full of bras from their different collections including what you requested. If the fit is right and you have favorites..show them. They will write down which collections you are interested in and communicate to their colleague on the floor. Once you are out there, hand the card over and they will hand you the bras you requested! I don't know if this has always been the way they do things but I had a great experience and hope you will too!

I hope you all watched Coco Chanel's biography on Lifetime! Although the story is a little sad, the style was just so amazing! Coco was a fabulous trendsetter and designer...she was definitley a fashion icon with style way "beyond her years"! So ladies if you haven't seen it I strongly urge you stylish chics to watch! She was the pioneer of the ever fabulous and timeless "black number"! I was inspired by how great her sense of fashion was and really loved her pearls.... So I went out and got a string of pearls (you all know I got a trendy set that I didn't have to really stretch the dollar for!) in memory and style of the fabulous diva Miss Coco Chanel!

Olympic style!

Sooo...how many of you have been watching the Olympics! if any of you have been watching the gymnastics, there have been many really cute and might I add stylish leotards! The Chinese team had some in flaming red with the gold trim that had kimono like colars..simply fabulous. While we are in the Olympic spirit..although it comes a little delayed, my lil cousin swam in a 50 metre heat. She is only 14 years old and was representing our beautiful little country Malawi(aka "The warm heart of Africa"). Zahra Pinto came 3rd in her race and has improved her time immensely since her arrival in Beijing. She has had no Olympic training and we will be seeing her in 2012! So..a couple weeks ago I had a serious dilemma, I couldn't decide what to do with my hair! There are so many fabulous hairstyles out there. There are also many websites you can visit for research. There are some that allow you to upload a photo of your face so you can virtually try on new "do's"! I went to http://www.hairstyler.com/ and took a look at some of the celebrity styles! I decided I wanted to go for something short...a cross between Rihanna and Victoria Beckham! Well..so far I love it and have figured out how to maintain it in record time! Sorry so late!! So...you may all think I'm insane BUT... I sometimes have a vision of what kind of look I want to achieve..sounds crazy right? Anyway, I usually try to realize it using whatever I have in my closet or I may check out my sis' closet! ;) As a last resort I will try to find something cheap at the nearest girlie store.
